In November senior level business executives pledged to serve on Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Investment. In conjunction with the swearing in of new members ELIC held their annual Planning & Orientation meeting at the Governor’s Residence new and returning member heard from speakers; PA Secretary of State Pedro Cortes, PA Secretary of Human Services Ted Dallas, Deputy Secretary of The PA Office of Child Development and Early Learning Suzann Morris, Deputy Secretary Carol Kilko of Department of Community & Economic Development and William Canary, President & CEO of the Business Council of Alabama. New members sworn in were Nicholas Gianaris , Vice President of Thermacore Materials Technology; David Goldberg, Executive Vice President, Central Region, of Allegheny Health Network; David Rice, President of Rice Fruit Company; Jarrod Shaw, Partner at McGuire Woods LLP and Matt Smith President of Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce.

The Pennsylvania Early Learning Investment Commission welcomes Carey Harris as their new Executive Director. Carey joins us from the western part of the state with a wealth of knowledge and experience in helping children make the most of their education.
