ECONOMIC SUMMIT ON EARLY CHILDHOOD INVESTMENT
The Economic Summit on Early Childhood Investment is hosted annually by the Early Learning Investment Commission. Invited business and community leaders hear from national experts on the importance of investing in early childhood development in Pennsylvania. This event targets business, civic, and educational leaders.
FALL PLANNING AND ORIENTATION MEETINGS
Commission members meet annually at the Governor’s residence in Harrisburg to swear in new appointees to the ELIC, review their yearly work plan, and learn about the work being done across the commonwealth to support public investment in quality early care and education.
ELIC members share a variety of research-based information and their own experiences as advocates for early learning at business meetings and community events across the commonwealth.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (ECE) VISITS
ELIC members visit high-quality early childhood education programs throughout the commonwealth in order to become familiar with the various programs offered by the state’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).
