The development of an effective system of early care and education is critical to Pennsylvania’s future economic and workforce development. Because the input and perspective of business leaders is essential to the development of such a system, the Pennsylvania Early Learning Investment Commission was established with the goal of mobilizing business leaders across the Commonwealth to improve tomorrow’s economy through smart policy investments starting with young children today. The Commission identifies opportunities to inform business and civic leaders about the critical importance of preparing children with the knowledge and skills required for success in the 21st century.
